We pulled into Opua Harbor on a pretty Sunday afternoon, light winds and sunshine. Not a record-breaking trip due to headwinds, but nice and safe with no excitement. We’ve cleared customs and are now officially in New Zealand. We had a great arrival celebration amongst ourselves which included several bottles of champagne which might(!) have made up for our last night of major pounding into short steep waves in a 20 knot wind.
Slept great, terrific shower in the marina facilities, and today is clean-up day for Raven; lots of soap and water, stainless steel polish, and Brillianize for the lexan.
Just to let you all know we made it.
