We must have seen hundreds of whales this trip – some of them just spouts in the distance, but today was the highlight of my whale watching career when this guy put on a show while my camera was at the ready!
En route to Manzanillo, today we cruised south until we reached a small beachside town called Punta Ipala. Nothing exciting, just a pleasant country Mexican town. Mike and I went ashore and hiked along the road a few miles, and for dinner we chose one of the three beachside restaurants that lined the harbor. The food was great – fresh shrimp and lots of it – there was a lot of activity in town, probably because it was Sunday and a nice day to take the kids to the beach!
